About Leila
I’m Leila. I’m a self-taught baker from the Bay Area, cooking my way through college in my new home of Southern California. I grew up learning that the best tasting food was the food made from scratch. On a typical morning, I would wake up to fifteen trays of pumpkin muffins balancing precariously on every flat surface in the kitchen. Since I can remember, cooking and baking in my home serves as a way of celebrating and putting love into the very sustenance that feeds us. Now, the kitchen has become my own space for creativity.
When I’m not in the kitchen (or at school), I love exploring San Francisco eateries and taking pictures of other people’s food. While most of my time is consumed with being a student, I know I will always find myself back in the kitchen. I hope that what I share with you makes you just as hungry as it makes me!
