Cinnamon Chocolate Cookies

Bored of the classic chocolate? Probably not. But in case you want to try something that will most likely make chocolate even more exciting, try my Cinnamon Chocolate Cookies that are guaranteed sweet, gooey, but with an extra kick.

You can really add anything to these. I split up my batter and added white chocolate chips to one third, semi sweet chunks to another, and got really crazy and decided to just throw the rest of both into the last third. I’m not too sure how the consistency would change, but you could even add nuts!

Not enough cinnamon for you? Add another half teaspoon. Then promptly tell me how they turned out.

 


Ingredients:

4 ounces of very soft (but not melted) butter
1 ¼ cups of flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ of an egg
3 ounces of semisweet chocolate + more for chips
1 tablespoon of cinnamon


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Melt 3 ounces of semisweet chocolate. Once off of heat, mix in egg. Mix together flour, basking soda, and cinnamon. Sift flour mixture over chocolate and egg and stir until combined.
  2. Add sugars and butter and stir well.
  3. Stir in chips.
  4. Bake for around 13-15 minutes, or until cookies are firm on edges and look finished.
